There’s been a fairly across-the-board sea change in the prevalence of male duets onstage. In the past they were always cloaked in the escape route of ambiguity…easily interpreted as friendship and familial relationships. But now, as in the rest of society, it’s no longer a controversy that one kind of relationship may be an intimate one.
These three shoots run the gamut of those different types of relationships, often reflecting the actual relationships between the individuals featured.
